The Yucatan Peninsula is recognized as a very important area with an enormous diverse bird population. Due to its strategic location it has a  rich resident population and it offers shelter to millions of migratory birds that nest in the area every year.

To date, 564 species have been viewed in the Yucatan Peninsula, representing the 50% of all the bird species registered in the country.

In this Jungle Birdwatching experience we will depart early morning before sunrise to Muyil town, located south from Tulum. We will be birding in three different locations starting in Muyil town, then Muyil archaeological site and we finish in the wetlands passing through the ecotone a wooden path connecting the jungle with the wetlands.

This is a great combination of nature and culture.
